The Actigraphy page should not be merged with the Actigraph page as "Actigraph" is one company's product using "Actigraphy", a method of measuring activity. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 212.169.55.64 (talkcontribs)

Merging

[edit]

IMO, Actigraph should be merged into Actigraphy, with Actigraph redirecting to Actigraphy. Then Actimetry should redirect to Actigraphy as well.

Actigraphy is the term used in the US, see: http://www.aasmnet.org/Resources/PracticeParameters/PP_Actigraphy_Circ.pdf , while it's possible that actimetry is used in Canada(?).

Actigraphy is the process, similar to Polysomnography; polysomnograph redirects to polysomnography. Explanations / descriptions of the process, its reasons and uses, and the device used all fit nicely within an article entitled Actigraphy. --Hordaland (talk) 23:03, 21 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
