Musalan (Persian: موسالان)[a] is a village in, and the capital of, Gavork-e Nalin Rural District of the Central District of Mirabad County, West Azerbaijan province, Iran.[4] The rural district was previously administered from Mirabad.[5]

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the village's population was 572 in 85 households, when it was in the former Vazineh District of Sardasht County.[6] The following census in 2011 counted 680 people in 126 households.[7] The 2016 census measured the population of the village as 611 people in 141 households.[2]

In 2022, the district was separated from the county in the establishment of Mirabad County, and the rural district was transferred to the new Central District.[4]
