Marge Carson is an American furniture manufacturing company founded in 1947 by Marjorie Reese Carson. With headquarters at Illinois, the company was gained prominenece after the World War II.[1][2][3]
History

Marge Carson Inc was founded in 1947 by Marjorie Reese Carson.[4] Incorporating European influences, the company gained ownership under LaBarge.[5]
Marge Carson Inc was acquired by Masco in the late 1980s,[6] and in 1995, Jim LaBarge, the CEO, expanded the business from the United States to Mexico, and Indonesia.[1] During this time, the company also grew its presence in showrooms.[7]
In 2022, after two decades of ownership, LaBarge ceased operations of Marge Carson due to market challenges.[8] In that same year, Janet Linly, founder and CEO of Linly Designs, acquired the company.[9]
