Leanne Fletcher Morgan (b. 1964 or 1965)[1] is an American standup comedian, actress, and author.[2] She released her first Netflix comedy special, Leanne Morgan: I'm Every Woman, in 2023.
Early life and education
[edit]Morgan grew up in Adams, Tennessee in a farming family.[3][4] Her family operated a pig processing plant. She attended Jo Byrns High School, graduating with the class of 1983; she graduated with a degree in child and family studies from the University of Tennessee.[5][6]
Career
[edit]Staying busy after having her first baby, Morgan worked as a jewelry saleswoman.[4][7][8] While making door-to-door sales, she began talking about motherhood and making jokes with clients who related to her jokes; they eventually began booking her for comedy gigs.[4][9] Her first comedy special on YouTube had over 50 million views by 2023.[4] Her Netflix special, Leanne Morgan: I'm Every Woman, was in the top 10 comedy specials on the platform.[4][10]
She is managed by Levity Talent and represented by United Talent Agency.[11][12]
Personal life
[edit]Morgan was married at the age of 21 but ended the abusive relationship. At the age of 26 she married Chuck Morgan, whom she met at the University of Tennessee.[4][11] After getting married, they moved to Bean Station, where Chuck owned and operated a used mobile home business.[4] Leanne and her family later moved to San Antonio, Texas and then Knoxville, Tennessee.[4][11] She and her husband have three children.[13][14]
