Fedon Kalyoncu (born 19 August 1946), is a Turkish musician who is mostly active in the Tavern music (Turkish: Taverna) genre.
Life

[edit]Fedon was born in Istanbul on 19 August 1946. His father is Greek and his mother is Armenian.[1] His uncle is Yeşilçam actor Nubar Terziyan.[2] Fedon's grandfather, Kleanti Kalyoncu, died in the Gallipoli campaign.[3]
Musical career
[edit]Fedon dropped out of Zografeion Lyceum in 1962. He worked in various jobs in the cinema sector between 1962 and 1972. He opened Zorba Taverna in 1987. He started his musical career in 1991 and released his first album called Senin İçin (For You) in the same year. Fedon was the first person to sing in Greek on TRT.[4]
Fedon is the recipient of the Abdi İpekçi Peace and Friendship Communication Award in 2000.[5]
Personal life
[edit]From his marriage to Eda Kalyoncu, Fedon has a daughter named Natali and a son named Theo.[4]
