The Wild Robot 2 is an upcoming American animated science fiction survival film produced by DreamWorks Animation and distributed by Universal Pictures. It will be the sequel to The Wild Robot (2024), based on Peter Brown's 2016 novel of the same name.
Production
[edit]On September 7, 2024, when asked about a potential sequel, The Wild Robot director Chris Sanders stated, "I would very much like to. This was a labor of love on the part of everybody at the studio, and yes, I think I'd love to go and stay here for a while."[1] On October 12, 2024, Sanders confirmed to Deadline Hollywood that is absolutely "100% sure" that DreamWorks Animation has plans for a sequel, confirming such project was currently in development.[2]
