Numrud Muhatasov (born December, 3rd 1973) is a Ukrainian Tennis player.
Biography
[edit]In 2000, he graduated from St. John’s University with a master’s degree in marketing.[1]
In 1995 and 1997, he became a two-time MVP, a finalist in the Big East tournament (1995), and he held the best singles record on the team all four years while serving as the captain of the team.[1]
Muhatasov arrived in Coney Island along with Max Mirnyi, Vladimir Volchkov, and Alexander Roberman, who competed in top-level junior tournaments in America in pursuit of turning Pro. They trained at the Brooklyn Racquet Club under the supervision of Alex Demidenko and Sergey Leonyuk.[1]
From 2000-08, Muhatasov became director of tennis at Hempstead Lake Indoor Tennis and developed a junior development program.[1]
In 2007, he signed a contract to coach Alona Bondarenko, for the WTA Tour. From 2007 to 2008, Muhatasov traveled with Bondarenko.[1]
In 2013, he Co-Founded Match Point NYC clubs, the first of which opened in 2014, on Shell Road in Coney Island. [1]
