James Clayton Holzier (born August 11, 1981) is an American actor.
Early life
[edit]James Clayton Holzier was born on August 11, 1981, to Jim and Christine Holzier, where he spent the early years of his life in Fairfax, Virginia.[1] He has two older sisters and is the youngest of his family.
Acting career
[edit]His first on-screen appearance was reportedly in the 1994 movie Willy the Hitman, where he played the lead role, Tony, a little boy starting his first business, hitting people with pies, and the trouble he gets into, as he gets into detention for his crimes.[citation needed] However, this film has little documented history and is rarely cited outside of Holzier's personal biography.
Holzier gained more attention with his role in the 2000 movie Dreams in the Attic, where he played the male lead, Kyle, opposite Haylie Duff[2]. Despite this casting being one of his most notable claims, the movie has a very obscure production history and lacks substantial recognition or reviews. Holzier was also credited for his cameo appearance in a 2001 episode of Cousin Skeeter, where he portrayed a character named Benjamin, the leader of a campus organization. These early roles were meant to showcase his talent, but they did not propel him into mainstream Hollywood success[citation needed].
In 2009, Holzier was announced as the lead in Live For Us, a romantic drama about a young man losing his mother, as he finds a girlfriend who has been keeping secrets from him, though the project never moved forward and was ultimately shelved after 2011.
Scandals
[edit]On August 12, 2012, a Reddit user by the name of cyborgmonkey3000 posted an investigation into Holzier, in what became a notorious scandal. The user claimed that the actor had fabricated much of his career and manipulated his IMDb page to falsely claim that he was considered to be in major movies like The Dark Knight Rises[3] and Man of Steel.[4]
