His ability to connect with audiences through gaming and reactions to Moroccan celebrities fueled his rapid growth. By the end of March 2023, Elmaliki had logged over 8.9 million hours watched, making him the most-watched YouTube Gaming streamer at the time, surpassing even IShowSpeed.
His success caught the attention of StreamCharts, which reported that Elmaliki streamed for a total of 258 hours in the first quarter of 2023, with an average viewer count of 34.7K. Despite having fewer subscribers than IShowSpeed,[2] his viewership numbers set him apart, solidifying his status as a top streamer in Morocco and beyond.
Transition to Kick and prison
[edit]In late july of 2023, Elmaliki signed a contract with the rising streaming platform Kick,[3] continuing his career growth.[4] In September 2023, Ilyas Elmaliki and friends confronted YouTuber Simo El Bourkadi after a series of videos in which El Bourkadi mocked him. Following this incident, Elmaliki quit streaming and went into hiding for seven months. In May 2024, he turned himself in to the police in Casablanca, leading to a three-month prison sentence. After his release in August 2024, Elmaliki made his return to streaming on Kick.
Feuds and Controversies

Kings League and Gerard Piqué
[edit]In 2024, Elmaliki's influence extended beyond the streaming world when former FC Barcelona defender Gerard Piqué invited him to participate in the Kings League, a football competition featuring teams led by various public figures. Piqué chose Elmaliki to lead Team Morocco in the Kings World Cup Nations, set to take place in January 2025.[5]
