- Comment: Medium is a blog; Genius is user-generated; Fantastic Hip Hop is a blog that offers promotional content. This leaves Flood (full review), Earmilk (short review) and Hypebeast (release information and republishes extracts from an interview). I do not believe these are enough for notability yet. — Bilorv (talk) 20:18, 1 April 2024 (UTC)
- Comment: Fails WP:NALBUM - AppleMusic, Genius and Tidal are not acceptable or reliable independent secondary sources. Dan arndt (talk) 07:15, 23 August 2023 (UTC)

EP! is the debut extended play by American rapper and producer JPEGMafia, first released on November 6, 2020. It is a compilation of singles released throughout 2020 and serves as his first release on Republic Records.[2]
Background
[edit]Throughout 2020, JPEGMafia released a string of singles and compiled them on EP!.[3] It was released on his Bandcamp page on November 6, 2020 and received a wide release on other streaming services including an extra single, "Super Tuesday!", on December 10, 2020.[4] The cover art for EP! was updated in 2021, replacing its original artwork on Bandcamp and other streaming services.[5]
Reception
[edit]Joe Boothby of Medium praised EP!, with specific highlights including original track "Super Tuesday!" and "Rough 7". Despite this, they felt that the EP! along with its sequel EP2! were very "poorly thought out" and would've worked better if they were just one full album.[6] A.D. Amorosi of Flood also enjoyed the record giving it a 7/10, feeling that it felt like a return to "JPEG’s pre-fame creep mode with that era’s rough-edged rawness fully intact." Overall, they state how JPEGMafia's "keeping it mean while on the major label tip".[2]
In another positive review by Fantastic Hip Hop, the EP is described as feeling planned out despite being a compilation of singles. It stated that what makes the record unique is JPEGMAFIA's increased creative freedom, hence created more opportunities to go "over the top". Overall, they state that the EP shines as one of best projects of the year due to its "random arrangement of subjects", coming together to create "a diary of JPEGMAFIA’s thoughts".[7]
