Alan Bates (birth registered fourth ¼ 1944[2]) is a former professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1960s and 1970s. He played at representative level for Great Britain, and at club level for Dewsbury, Oldham RLFC and Huddersfield as a scrum-half.
