To anyone who stumbles across this: I am working on this page bit by bit before transferring it over to the mainspace, as I'd rather have it done in one go — I doubt I'll *ever* have enough time to do all 92 entries in one go &mdash rather than having a little bit. Thank you.

Added on March 20th — With the season ending in six weeks for those of us in the Coca-Cola League, I have decided to wait until the clubs are confirmed for the 2009-10 season before transferring it to the mainspace.

List of current English league clubs by date of formation

This is a list of the teams that are currently playing in either the Premier League or The Football League in England, as of the 2009-10 season, by date of formation. Their first season in the Football League is also included.

Before the 1986-87 season, clubs that finished in the bottom four of the Fourth Division (currently called League 2) had to reapply for re-election. Also note that this table refers to the division below League 2 as the Conference National, regardless of its actual name at the time.
