Historical name of the archipelago

[edit]

In former navigation charts, pilots and other historical documents these islands appear as Islas de los Desventurados. This historical name has been erased from the article on 4 March 2017. Even though the name Islas Desventuradas is currently favoured, is there any reason for doing away with a name of historical significance? If so, the reason should be clearly stated before deleting it. Xufanc (talk) 09:13, 15 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
