Peter A. Clayton

Peter A. Clayton is a British archaeologist and numismatist, and the former managing editor of British Museum Publications.[1] He was also president of the British Association of Numismatic Societies (BANS) from 1987 to 1995 .[2]

Clayton has written extensively on the ancient world and ancient Egypt in particular and has produced a number of books for children.

Clayton was a member of the British government's Treasure Valuation Committee until 2014.
