Maka (stylized in all caps) is an upcoming Philippine television teen drama series to be broadcast by GMA Network. Directed by Rod Marmol, it stars Zephanie, Marco Masa & Ashley Sarmiento. It is set to premiere on September 21, 2024 on the network's Sabado Star Power sa Hapon lineup replacing Pinoy Crime Stories.
Premise

Development
[edit]The series was announced on August 6, 2024 during its story conference.[3]
Casting
[edit]On August 6, 2024 during the series' story conference, several actors were announced include Philippine actors Zephanie Dimaranan, Marco Masa and Ashley Sarmiento along with Dylan Menor, John Clifford, Olive May and Sean Lucas.[7][14][10] Additional cast members were announced on August 13, 2024–Chanty Videla from the Korean pop group Lappilus and Romnick Sarmenta.[10] Philippine actors Tina Paner, Jojo Alejar, Sharmaine Arnaiz, Maricar de Mesa and Carmen Soriano are set to guest in the series.[13][12]
