Brad Gilmore (born December 14, 1992) is an American writer, television host, radio personality, and media producer born and raised in Houston, Texas. Known for his dynamic presence in the entertainment industry, Brad has contributed to numerous high-profile platforms, including the CW39, ESPN Radio, CBS Radio, and the Movie Trivia Schmoedown. Since 2012, he has hosted The Collection, covering music, sports, and entertainment, while also serving as the Executive Producer and host of Back to the Future: The Podcast, a deep dive into the cultural impact of the iconic film trilogy.

A fixture in the world of professional wrestling, Brad is the longest-tenured announcer for WWE Hall of Famer Booker T's Reality of Wrestling promotion in Texas. Alongside Booker T, Brad co-chairs the nationally popular radio show and podcast The Hall of Fame[1], where they discuss professional wrestling, sports, and entertainment. In June 2024, Brad and Booker T inked a landmark deal with Disney and ESPN [2], bringing their show to a national audience.[3]

In addition to his broadcasting work, Brad is an accomplished author. He has published two best-selling books: Back from the Future: A Celebration of the Greatest Time Travel Story Ever Told,[4] which explores the legacy of Back to the Future, and Bond, James Bond: Exploring the Shaken and Stirred History of Ian Fleming's 007.[5] Both books have garnered widespread acclaim, cementing Brad's reputation as a storyteller and historian in pop culture.

In June 2023, Brad expanded his creative endeavors by launching Gilmore Media LLC, a full-service media production company specializing in the development of scripts, podcasts, music, film, and television projects. This venture has allowed Brad to leverage his extensive industry experience to shape new creative content across multiple platforms.

Academically, Brad is a proud alumnus of the University of Houston, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Communication Studies. He also completed his master's degree at the University of Alabama, continuing to broaden his expertise in media and communication.

Brad's multifaceted career in writing, broadcasting, and production reflects his passion for storytelling and his commitment to elevating the entertainment landscape through innovative media projects.

Early Life

Brad Gilmore was born and raised in Houston, Texas. He developed an early interest in professional wrestling, inspired by icons like Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, and Shawn Michaels. As a child, he also became passionate about media, entertainment, and music, which led him to pursue a career in broadcasting and production.

Podcasting

In 2015, Gilmore launched Back to the Future: The Podcast,[6] where he and guests discuss the cultural impact and legacy of the Back to the Future film franchise. He has interviewed cast and crew members from the films, and in 2020, Gilmore published Back from the Future, a book that chronicles the making and cultural significance of the trilogy.

In addition to his solo work, Gilmore co-hosts The Hall of Fame podcast with WWE Hall of Famer Booker T. The podcast covers professional wrestling, combat sports, and entertainment news.

Television and Film

Gilmore is also active in television production, having hosted segments for CW39 Houston and worked on several projects involving celebrity interviews. He has interviewed high-profile figures such as Matthew McConaughey, Mark Wahlberg, and Kevin Costner.

In 2024, Gilmore announced he was working on a television pilot, further extending his work into scripted media.[7]

Writing

Gilmore is also writing a screenplay titled Making the Towns, a story about two professional wrestlers on a road trip from Houston to El Paso.

Music

A lifelong musician, Gilmore is a founding member of the band Twenty Eleven. He also continues to work as an MC and producer, performing at venues across Houston[8]. In 2022, the band released their first single, "Step Close" debuting on Houston Chronicle for their first album in 10 years, Happiness, Sadness, Etc. [9] Previously the San Francisco Chronicle said about Twenty Eleven "Twenty Eleven returns this week with "Too Much," a "vibey" new tune that showcases a newfound maturity and polish. Brad Gilmore resides in Houston, Texas, with his wife, Farah. He is an avid fan of professional wrestling and actively participates in the Houston wrestling community.
