Original Picture Corrupted!

[edit]

This picture is *corrupt* View the "hi-res" image, it cuts off half-way. Does anyone have the non-corrupt image? It doesn't have previous revisions, yet the fact that the thumbnail is not cut-off is evidence that it was corrupted after it made Wikimedia - anyone have it saved somewhere? I've had the photo fixed and upsampled to 1600x1600 by the guys at NeoSmart Technologies, but I need permission to re-upload it.
It's the same photo, just no longer corrupted and hi-res. However, since this is a homepage shot, it is currently locked. Will an admin please allow me to reupload? ComputerGuru@NeoSmart.net Computer Guru 18:13, 18 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Cute or What?

[edit]

Is this the cutest picture on Wikipedia? — Coelacan | talk 11:23, 18 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I know you're not technically supposed to use discussion pages for opinions, but I must say, that's a cute little fella. As for cutEST, I beg to differ. People tend to vary somewhat on what they think is cute. Personally, I think http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Young_cat.png is a bit cuter :). Kevin 22:30, 18 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Misidentification

[edit]

If this picture was taken at Mt. Rainier National Park, this is a Cascade Golden-mantled Ground Squirrel (Spermophilus saturatus), not a Golden-mantled Ground Squirrel (S. lateralis). S. lateralis doesn't occur in the Washington Cascades. The picture is really cute, but perhaps it should be moved to its rightful place.--LisaAves (talk) 05:07, 30 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
