Description
English: Arms of Winard (or Wynard) of Wonford (now part of the city of Exeter) and of Sharpham in the parish of Ashprington, both in Devon: Or, on a bend azure three mullets argent (Pole, Sir William (d.1635), Collections Towards a Description of the County of Devon, Sir John-William de la Pole (ed.), London, 1791, p.508, amended to field "or" as seen on Palmes illustrated pedigree roll). As seen sculpted on Wynard's Hospital onn Magdalen Street, Exeter, an almshouse founded in 1436 by William Wynard, Recorder of Exeter 1404-1442.
