Description
English: This photograph of the gopura (tower) of the Virupaksha temple was taken by me from the Hemakuta hill temple complex at Hampi, a UNESCO world heritage site in Bellary district, Karnataka state, India. The temple has received patronage and upgrades starting from the 10th century Western Chalukya period to the 16th century Vijayanagara empire period
