Summary

Description Tetbury Church (St. Mary the Virgin and St. Mary Magdalen), Gloucestershire, 6 October 2016. Unusually, has two dedictations. Georgian Gothic Revival, architect Francis Horne. It replaced a run-down mediaeval (largely 14th Century Decorated) church, the nave (unusually, with aisles and an ambulatory), chancel and sanctuary was completed in 1881 whilst the existing mediaeval tower and spire was retained. However, the tower and spire eventually needed replacement too and in 1891 was replaced by an exact copy. Pictured is the south elevation.
