English: The Hastings line between Grove Hill and Strawberry Hill tunnels (looking southeast towards the latter), a short distance south of Tunbridge Wells station. The Strawberry Hill Tunnel is one of four tunnels on the line that was single-tracked in the 1980s so that larger trains could run through them. The former Down track (left) is now an Up-facing turnback siding used by services that terminate and restart at Tunbridge Wells; it ends just before the tunnel. The former Up track (right), on the other hand, became the reversible track used by through services in both directions, and is now the only track that passes through the tunnel. (Note how the track has been rerouted to the centre of the tunnel in order to achieve more clearance).
