English: Using the Cartesian coordinate system, the location of point A may be expressed using two coordinates, x and y. The x' , y' coordinates of point A in a coordinate system rotated by angle θ may be calculated by
x' = cos θ x + sin θ y
y' = −sin θ x + cos θ y
