Summary

Description
English: The Rawnsley Shield: designed by Edith Rawnsley, made by Keswick School of Industrial Art, and presented to the Cumberland Association of Bell Ringers in 1895 by Canon H D Rawnsley to be competed for annually in a striking competition. The shield was competed for until 1939. The competition was not resumed after WW2, but the shield is now the property of the Carlisle Diocesan Guild of Church Bell Ringers, the present successor Society to the Cumberland Association.
