View NW, towards Bridgend and Swansea on ex-Great Western South Wales main line, also Pontypridd to right, Cowbridge to left. The station was closed 2/11/64 but reopened 28/9/92 as Pontyclun. Passenger services to Cowbridge ceased 26/11/51, to Pontypridd 30/3/52, to Penygraig 9/6/58, but goods (colliery) traffic continued much longer - until various dates up to 1989. The Train, a Class C freight, is headed by BR Standard 9F 2-10-0 No. 92237
