JPEG file comment | Jura-Simplon-Bahn (J-S): 2'B-Zweizylinder-Verbund-Lokomotive Serie A 2/4 Nr. 110 (spätere SBB A 2/4 110) um 1900 vor dem Depot Lausanne. 2/4-gekuppelte Lokomotiven hatten bei der Jura-Simplon-Bahn noch von ihren Vorgängerinnen Lausanne-Freiburg-Bern-Bahn, Bernische Staatsbahn und Jura-Bern-Luzern-Bahn her Tradition. Handelte es sich dabei noch durchwegs um Tenderlokomotiven, so baute die Lokomotivfabrik Winterthur in den Jahren 1892-1896 für den Schnellzugsdienst der J-S dreissig Stück einer Zweizylinder-Verbund-Ausführung mit Schlepptender. Bei der Verstaatlichung der J-S kamen alle 30 Maschinen zu den Schweizerischen Bundesbahnen (SBB), wo sie als einzige ehemalige Privatbahn-Lokomotiven ihre bisherigen Betriebsnummern (101-130) behielten. Nr. 101, 102, 114, 120 und 122 kamen 1917 als Ausgleich für Versorgungstransporte der Schweiz ins Kriegsgebiet. Mit der Klassierung P 4 Nr. 1901-1905 wurden sie der Militär-General-Direktion Warschau der deutschen Heeresbahnen zugeteilt. Nr. 101 und 114 gelangten 1919 noch als An 27 und 28 nach Lettland und 1921 als Od 103 zur PKP nach Polen. Die in der Schweiz verbliebenen Maschinen wurden alle zwischen 1923 und 1926 ausrangiert.
