Description
English: This is probably the model that was sent from Flushing to the Navy Model Room in 1844.2 It shows a design by August Elize Tromp (1801-1871) for a frigate of the first rate.3 Four frigates in this class were constructed; De Ruyter, a cut-down (‘razeed’) ship of the line, was one of them. Dimensions: h 36 cm × w 139.1 cm × d 18.2 cm
Nederlands: Waarschijnlijk het model dat van Vlissingen naar de modellen kamer van de marine werd gestuurd in 1844. Het betreft een ontwerp door August Elize Tromp (1801-1871) voor een fregat der eerste klasse. Vier fregatten eerste klasse werden gebouwd: de De Ruyter was, een gerazeerd fregat was een daarvan. Afmetingen h 36 cm × w 139.1 cm × d 18.2 cm
