Description
English: Original caption: This is the process of the Creation of Pluto's Moons (4th Edition). Number 1 shows a KBO nearing Pluto. Number 2 shows a KBO impacting Pluto. Number 3 shows a dust ring forming around Pluto. Number 4 shows the debris clumping together to form Charon. Number 5 shows Pluto and Charon becoming a spherical body and Charon orbiting Pluto.
The sequence of images obviously contradicts to w: conservation of angular momentum, assuming that all phases were shot from the same direction: phase 1 shows a system with clockwise angular momentum (relatively to the centre of mass) while phases starting from 3 show a counter-clockwise rotation.
