Summary

Description The bottom left quarter of page 53 of the Codex Borgia, depicting the deity Tlāhuizcalpantecuhtli piercing a woman with a spear or arrow. Meanwhile, a turtle runs away. (This was one of several enigmatic drawings Cecilia and Eduard Seler had to ponder upon in their study, between their dangerous and exhausting travels and excavation campaigns.)
