Йоан Багатостраждальний (? - 1160 р.) — древньруський святий, чернець Печерського монастиря. Преподобний. Пам'ять 11 жовтня і 31 липня.

Борючись з спокусами свого тіла, суворо подвизався: не спав ночами, їжу приймав один раз на 2-3 дні, а іноді раз на тиждень. Зрештою Іоанн зачинився в Антонієвій печері. У цей час він посилив свої подвиги: носив на тілі важкі залізні вериги, на час Великого посту заривав себе по пояс у землю. І тільки після майже тридцяти років подвижництва Іоанн позбувся своїх тілесних пристрастей. Його мощі спочивають у Ближніх печерах.
